"This JSP activity is a community service activity for the first time sponsored by the UR International Affairs Office (KUI) which was carried out for a week, from 11-16 July 2017 in collaboration with Malaysia University of Technology (UTM).

In line with the Rector of UR, who was represented by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Kirmizi Ritonga, SE MBA Ak CA, the Head of KUI UR, said this activity aims to establish cooperation between UR and UTM in order to serve the community as well as introduce the culture of the Riau people to UTM Students (12/07).
"We hope that the 2017 UR-UTM Joint Summer Program (JSP) activities will further strengthen the cooperative relationship between UR students and UTM students in carrying out community service. Take advantage of this opportunity as well as possible, gain experience while in the field, provide constructive input. Take the positive side of this activity, don't be afraid to move forward and develop in a better direction,” said this Professor of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs.

On the other hand, Muhammad Ralis T, Head of Buluh Cina Village welcomed the service activities carried out by UR and UTM students, especially Buluh Cina Village, one of the tourism villages in Riau, he said. "Hopefully the participants will feel at home in this Buluh Cina Village, when the service activities end and return to their respective regions. Always remember this village, leave the bad things behind, bring the good things home," Ralis concluded.
At the UR-UTM Joint Summer Program (JSP) activity, in Buluh Cina Village, Siak Hulu, Kampar Regency, the Head of the UR Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, Azhar Kasymi SH, and several supervisors from UR and UTM were present. (rabit)***
