UNRI Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ir Aras Mulyadi DEA, said that functional officials currently have very strategic and vital roles and functions in the wheels of government, especially the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology in their respective work units.
"Every official who occupies a functional position is required to have qualifications and competencies according to his field of duty and also to have very measurable performance standards that are stated in the number of credits that have been achieved every year. In addition, the functional officials who are inaugurated today are not only purely carrying out their roles and functions as functional officials, but also continue to help carry out managerial duties and functions that have been carried out so far in order to help their organizational units carry out service functions. explained the Chancellor.
Furthermore, the Chancellor of the Republic of Indonesia, said that this functional position is the realization of government policy in transferring the structural positions of the Indonesian State Civil Apparatus (ASN), which also includes the Ministry of Education and Culture-RI, and this has certainly been done several years ago.
"If we pay attention, the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture is at the forefront of implementing government policies that aim to make ASN provide services to the community more professionally according to the fields and positions available," he said.
"As a leader, I hope that through this function, of course the level of service provided to the community will be better, this indicator is of course assessed from the performance that is carried out every year of course the level of achievement is different before the functional is formed. So the performance of the existing indicator objectives can be considered for better service to the community," he concluded.
