The Faculty of Engineering Declares a Joint Commitment to Creating a Conducive Campus

unri.ac.id The academic community of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Riau (FT-Unri) supported Unri in creating a conducive campus environment on Friday (June 8) in the lobby of the FT Unri Dean's Building. This support was expressed in the form of a declaration supporting the University of Riau in strongly condemning acts of terrorism, rejecting radicalism and intolerance, and the use of illegal drugs on June 6, 4.

"This declaration is a manifestation of our commitment, especially in the Faculty of Engineering, where we are committed to declaring that there is no room for terrorism, radicalism and intolerance, and the use of illegal drugs in the engineering faculty," explained Dr. Ari Sandhiyavitri MSc, Dean of FT Unri.

Meanwhile, Unri Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ir. Aras Mulyadi DEA also witnessed the activity and expressed his gratitude to the Faculty of Engineering for its commitment to supporting the University of Riau in creating a conducive environment on the Unri campus.

"We have actually been implementing this commitment for a long time. From the beginning, we have not allowed any room for terrorism, radicalism, intolerance, or illegal drugs. Nevertheless, this declaration will serve as a reminder to us to reject all these heinous acts," the Chancellor explained.

With this declaration, Aras continued, hopefully it will serve as a reminder for us to be more vigilant in maintaining a conducive campus environment. "With this shared commitment, we are confident that we can reject any actions inconsistent with Pancasila that could threaten the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI)," the Rector added.
