Unrinews. The Chancellor of the University of Riau (Unri), Prof. Dr. Sri Indarti, SE MSi., attended the 3rd Working Meeting and National Gathering of the Unri Alumni Association (IKA) in Batam, Riau Islands (July 27, 07).
The theme raised at the event was "Alumni Service in Building the Nation".
The General Chairperson of IKA Unri, Wan Muhammad Hasyim, SE Ak, said that this working meeting was the most comprehensive working meeting, attended by 25 delegates from all regional and area administrators.
On that occasion, the Chancellor explained the latest developments at Unri, which will change the face of Unri in the future, namely 10 new buildings from the ADB project.
Furthermore, the Chancellor conveyed Unri's achievements until 2024, including statistics on the number of lecturers and students, webometric rankings, research results and studies from Unri lecturers, as well as increasing collaboration data at the regional, national and international levels.
"In July 2024, Unri's webometric ranking rose from 33rd to 17th," said the Chancellor.
The Rector also explained the importance of the 2024 Unri Alumni Association Working Meeting, which focused on building networks with alumni. This aligns with one of Unri's strategic programs: building an integrated academic network among alumni and stakeholders.
Also attending the event were the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mexsasai Indra SH MH; the Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Agus Sutikno, SP MSi; the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Hermandra, MA; the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information Systems, Dr. Ir.
