Unrinews. Riau University (Unri), through its Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), signed a memorandum of understanding with MILA University. The event took place on the MILA University campus in Nilai, Malaysia (September 11, 09).
The Unri team consisted of the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Syamsudhuha, MSc., the Head of the Collaboration Team, Dr. Arisman Adnan, MSc., and the Head of the Computer Science Department, Dr. Tisha Melia. The MILA University team, which was present on the occasion, included Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Graham Kendall and Senior Lecturer, School of Biotechnology, Dr. Pratheep Sandrasaigaran.
In his remarks, Prof. Kendall expressed his hope that this collaboration would enhance the academic quality of both parties. This collaboration is a crucial step in strengthening international networks and opening broader opportunities for lecturers and students in the development of science and research.
Prof. Syamsudhuha stated that in the initial phase, this collaboration will be led by the Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, with a research focus on biotechnology. Additionally, the Biology Laboratory and the Information Systems Laboratory will also be part of this strategic collaboration.
