unri.AC ID Literacy development in the community needs to be fostered, including by increasing public knowledge and reading skills. This is because human resource development can be achieved in various ways, including through a reading culture, which transfers knowledge to generate productive thinking for societal advancement.
This was the topic of the Talk Show on Increasing the Community Literacy Index in Supporting the Realization of Superior Human Resources for an Advanced Indonesia, organized by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with the Riau Provincial Government, as well as with various Universities in Riau Province, Tuesday (26/1/2021) at the Auditorium of Lancang Kuning University, Pekanbaru.
At the same event, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was also signed between the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia and the Riau Provincial Government, and also the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia and universities in Riau Province, one of which is the University of Riau (UNRI).
Present at the signing of the memorandum of understanding were the Rector of the University of Riau, Prof. Dr. Ir. Aras Mulyadi, DEA, accompanied by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems, Prof. Dr. Syaiful Bahri, MSi. On the sidelines of the event, the Rector expressed his hope that this collaboration would enhance synergy in literacy, which would lead to the emergence of superior human resources.
