Unrinews. The University of Riau (Unri) through the Vice Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance held a workshop on drafting detailed work unit tasks within Unri on Thursday (8/8/2024) at the Royal Asnof Hotel in Pekanbaru.
Representing the Chancellor, Dr. Agus Sutikno SP MSi as the Vice Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance of Unri explained that this workshop activity was carried out based on the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Permendikbudristek) regarding the Organizational Governance (OTK) which is currently being proposed by Unri, said Agus Sutikno.
He continued, explaining that the Unri OTK draft submitted to the Ministry has reached 99.9 percent approval, and is now awaiting the administrative process at the Ministry. If the new Unri OTK is approved, there will be a streamlining of governance at Unri, such as the previous reduction of Echelon III (18) to 12, and Echelon IV (58) from 3 to XNUMX, the Agrotechnology Lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture continued.
Not only that, at the Faculty of Nursing, Unri, there will be development, which will see the addition of deputy deans, where previously the Dean was only assisted by two deputy deans, after the new OTK, there will be three deputy deans, added Agus Sutikno.
On that basis, today, Thursday (8/8/2024), we gathered the Head of Department (Kajur), Faculty representatives, Coordinators and Sub-Coordinators to attend a workshop on drafting the detailed tasks of work units within Unri, added Agus.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abdullah Faqih, MA, MEd, Head of the Bureau of Organization and Administration of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, expressed his appreciation for Unri's implementation of this workshop. "We greatly appreciate the work of the team that drafted the statutes and detailed the duties of Unri's work units, who have worked optimally in accordance with the established rules, thus making this workshop possible," said Abdullah Faqih.
This is a good process, before the Unri OTK was completed at the Ministry, Unri immediately moved quickly to compile the details of the work unit's duties at the university level, this indicates Unri's seriousness in bureaucratic reform, continued Abdullah Faqih.
"The simplification of Unri's OTK (Technical Implementation Unit) that we are currently implementing is inseparable from the three bureaucratic mantras: proper function, proper process, and proper size. This means the organization is leaner but more agile, so we are strengthening Unri's duties and functions so that the work process is faster and more responsive," added Abdullah Faqih.
