LPPM UR Holds 2 Major Activities on 19 July and 9 November 2016 Upcoming

unri.ac.id. The Institute for Research and Community Service, University of Riau (LPPM UR) in order to increase the number of international publications at UR, held two major activities, namely the Article Writing Workshop for Scopus Indexed International Publications and the International Conference on Science and Technology .

The schedule for article writing workshops for Scopus Indexed International Publications is planned to be held on 19-21 July 2016, while the deadline for submitting papers is 25 June 2016.

"For participants who wish to send papers to the committee, we inform you that the deadline for receipt is June 25, 2016. We need to convey that this activity aims to increase international publications at UR," said Prof. Dr. Ir Almasdy Syahza, Head of LPPM UR.

This workshop is intended for lecturers at UR. However, if the quota of participants still does not meet the target, then the committee makes it possible to accept participants from outside the UR. “The number of participants in this activity is quite limited. Until now (24/6- ed ), the registrant participants have reached as many as 65 people. Therefore, the committee will select the paper that goes to the committee,” said Almasdy.

“In this workshop , the committee will present tutors who already have publications in ISI and Scopus Indexed International Journals, as well as reviewers of international journals. Furthermore, for our second agenda (LPPM- ed ), namely the International seminar: International Conference on Science and Technology , we will hold it on November 9-10, 2016,” explained Almasdy.

“At the International Conference on Science and Technology , the committee will bring in four keynote speakers from abroad and from within the country. Among them, Prof. Dr. Tutut Herawan ( Malaya University Malaysia ), Prof. Dr. Jemal H Abawayi ( Deakin University Australia ), Prof. Dr. Muhaimin Ismoen ( Universiti Teknologi Brunei ), and Prof. Dr. Yusni Ikhwan S (University of Riau)," explained Almasdy.

Almasdy hopes that, through these two major activities, the number of international publications at the University of Riau can increase. (wendi/nurfatihayati) ***
