unri.ac.id “The rapid growth of Indonesia's population is one of the factors of foreign interest and an attraction for foreigners to come to Indonesia, so that Indonesia is used as a target market for foreign products. Therefore, the Indonesian people must take policy steps to deal with problems, both those that come from internal to the nation and externally.”

This was conveyed by the Deputy for Strategic Studies of the Indonesian National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas RI) Djagal W Marseno during a discussion with the Riau University (Unri) Academic Community, Wednesday (11/4) in the DPH Room of the Unri Rectorate Building. In this discussion, Lemhanas and Unri Academics discussed the implementation of Indonesia's foreign policy to deal with American and Chinese policies in the context of national security.

For this reason, Lemhanas continues to conduct studies in order to strengthen national resilience. One of them is by asking the thoughts of academics to provide input related to strategic studies to strengthen national resilience,” explained Djagal.

The discussion which lasted for approximately two hours was attended by Unri lecturers who were experts from various fields according to the study of this discussion, including Political Observers from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) and Economic Observers from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). One of the political observers of Unri Drs Isril MH in this discussion said that to strengthen national resilience, the government must improve existing resilience in the regions. “Foreign policy is closely related to regional resilience. To strengthen national resilience, the government must improve the existing resilience in the regions. Likewise with politics, foreign policy will be good if domestic politics is good,” explained the Lecturer of Government Science at FISIP Unri. (believer. photo: rizki)***
