www.unri.ac.id – A total of 5700 students from the University of Riau (UR) participated in the second wave of Community Service Lecture (Kukerta) training for the even semester of 2014/2015. This training is to prepare for the work program that the Kukerta participants will undertake in July 2015.
The implementation of this briefing activity was carried out in the second floor hall of the Research and Community Service Institute Building, University of Riau (LPPM-UR) by dividing the number of participants into several groups, to facilitate the provision of Kukerta briefing materials by the supervisors.
From the release received by the UR NEWS editorial team, Wednesday (20/5), Riau University through LPPM UR will place students participating in the Kukerta Wave II at Kukerta locations spread across 11 regencies/cities in Riau Province.
According to the Head of LPPM UR, Prof. Dr. Almasdi Syahza, SE MP, he said that the Kukerta briefing was held from May 18 to June 5 2015 with several important materials, including the Philosophy and Implementation of Kukerta.
Furthermore, Almasdi said that this Kukerta was carried out to increase empathy and concern for students, implementing the application of Science and Technology (Ipteks) in a teamwork and interdisciplinary manner.
In addition, instilling personality values that include nationalism, the Pancasila spirit, tenacity, work ethic and responsibility, independence, leadership and entrepreneurship, concluded Almasdi.***(Rabit – UR Public Relations / Hizra – UR ICT)
